This forward should not move to Man United for the sake of his career

The Manchester United fans at the Transfer Tavern tonight are excited to hear the news that Zlatan Ibrahimovic might be returning to the club.

Reports have recently surfaced online about Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a potential return to Manchester United, only a month after the club let his contract expire due to his injuries.

The 35-year-old missed much of the reminder of the season, including United’s Europa League final victory over Ajax but seems determined to return to the side.

After consistently good performances last season and 28 goals across all competitions, it would be easy to see why United fans would welcome the Swedish superstar back with open arms.

But should he return? Our landlord doesn’t think so.

Mourinho spent most of his time since Ibra’s departure looking for a suitable replacement and finally got one when he splashed the cash and spent £75 million to bring Romelu Lukaku to Old Trafford from Everton.

So why is the club considering offering their former superstar a new contract? Surely, he wouldn’t go back to being the first-choice striker and with Zlatan’s ego, that wouldn’t suit him at all.

At this point in his career, the 35-year-old should opt for a move to America or China and take a bigger payday, for less work.

It would be a suitable way to wind down his legendary career as opposed to warming the bench for United and he would most likely become one of the world’s highest players should he go to the US or China.

He is a big draw and should use that to his advantage in the final years he has left as a player.
