This French striker could transform Manchester United into Premier League contenders

The Manchester United supporters here in the Football Transfer Tavern are hopeful that their team can become a proper force on the domestic scene next season after a disappointing 2016/17 campaign.

The Red Devils finished in a miserable sixth and that position simply won’t do considering the amount of money which the club has brandished around in recent seasons.

Boss Jose Mourinho is likely to take a gung-ho stance once again in the summer transfer market as he looks to reinstate the Red Devils as one of the country’s top clubs.

One man who should be right at the top of United’s wish list is Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, who is attracting interest from several clubs in the Barclays Premier League this summer.

The France international was at his prolific best during 2016/17 and netted 37 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions for his club side.

The 26-year-old has pace to burn, a keen eye for goal and is very much a player for the big occasion, making him very much a quality candidate to fill a striking void at Manchester United.

A couple of Manchester United supporters are sat with their feet up in the Tavern enjoying a cold pint of beer and they are of the belief that Lacazette could be a great coup for the club. They believe that the Frenchman has a lot of time left during his playing days and he could be a key asset for the Red Devils for several years to come.

Manchester United fans, would you welcome Lacazette? Let us know in the comments below!!!
