The Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern want to see a new attacking midfielder arrive to replace Moussa Sissoko in the squad. Sissoko has been a flop since his move to Spurs from Newcastle and the fans in the Transfer Tavern want to see him sold this month.
Mauricio Pochettino has already offloaded Georges-Kevin N’koudou on a half-season loan to Burnley and if Sissoko goes too, that opens up a spot a spot or two in the attacking midfield department for a new arrival. Christian Eriksen, Son Heung-Min, Dele Alli and Erik Lamela are currently vying for the spots behind Harry Kane in Pochettino’s team, but a new face would surely help lift the North London club to the next level.
At the top of Pochettino’s list should be Watford sensation Richarlison. The 20-year-old has taken to life in England better than anyone could have possibly imagined since his summer switch from Fluminense, netting five goals and adding a further four assists in the Premier League so far.
The youngster is one of the best prospects in the Premier League and he could be a future star at one of the big clubs in England. Spurs should, therefore, swoop before the other Premier League sides start taking an interest in Richarlison.
The former Brazil under-20 international has flair, skill and is not shy about taking on a defender. As well as this, his end product is impressive for a young player and he is more than capable of scoring goals or providing chances for his teammates. Indeed, he’s quickly emerged as the focal point of the Watford first team, and often, if he doesn’t play well, neither do the Hornets. If he’s able to remain consistent, the Brazilian could be on for a remarkable first season in the Premier League.
With the coaching of Mauricio Pochettino, Richarlison could develop into one of the best players in Europe – and Tottenham could be the benefactors.
