The West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping the new era under David Moyes will transform the club’s fortunes this season.
Another humbling Premier League defeat for West Ham on Saturday evening signalled the end of Slaven Bilic’s tenure as manager of the club. The writing had been on the wall for Bilic for a number of weeks with the club in miserable form despite their productive summer transfer window. The hierarchy at West Ham wasted no time in appointing a successor, as David Moyes was confirmed as the new manager on Tuesday morning.
The immediate reaction from the Hammers was initially one of bewilderment and disappointment considering Moyes’ atrocious managerial record since leaving Everton in 2012.
Despite this, the general feeling amongst the Claret and Blue contingent in the Transfer Tavern is that the club need to rally together during this period of instability for the club, to ensure they stay clear of a relegation dogfight this season.
But a video posted by the club’s official Twitter page featuring a clip from the training ground has already began to divide the fans opinion of their new manager’s training techniques.

A handful of the supporters are highly concerned by the simplicity of the training techniques, whilst others trust that Moyes’ approach is the best way forward for the club in their current position.
The Irons will be hoping the back to basics approach from Moyes will breed some positive results in the coming months, starting with a win at Vicarage Road after the international break.
Here’s what the fans had to say on Twitter…
Really enjoying all these proper training videos. Gives us fans hope

It's the simple stuff what we haven't been doing. This is great to see the coach doing some 1 on 1 training. Very refreshing
Surely he was taught that at age 9!!!
Do me a favour !!!!

Think it’s back to basics for a lot of our players cause they seemed to have lost their way in the last year.

Hope I am wrong but this looks like very basic teaching on level with under 9's, I pray that the conversation they shared held more depth

The board should sack him for this, you don't need to wait on results! It's obvious what's gonna happen after that.

He's useless end of story we are getting relegated.

More I think about it I'm glad Bilic has gone… no style of play, awful signings, poor training and fitness, 5 players played at RB last season, sums of the shambles
