Manchester City fans are in a fairly content state of mind here in the Transfer Tavern, as they contemplate what might happen in the future, particularly with the arrival of Pep Guardiola in the summer.
Their fans can regularly be found in the Tavern chatting away about who the ex-Barcelona manager will bring in, and what sort of effect he will have on the club’s on-field fortunes.
The landlord has spotted some potentially negative news for the City faithful however, with an article in the Daily Star suggesting that Bayern Munich have slapped a ban on Pep taking any of current Munich stars to the Etihad Stadium with him.
It will mean that the manager will not be able to pursue the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller as he looks to rebuild a team in desperate need of a replenish.
One City fan is playing pool and thinks this might not be too bad of a thing, and believes Pep already has other targets in mind from other top European clubs!
However, our landlord here in the Tavern feels this is a major downfall for City, as Munich currently possess some of the best players in world football.
City fans… Is this news disappointing? Or, are you not too bothered? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
