This Liverpool ace could provide the edge that Klopp needs to smash Chelsea today – agreed?

The anticipation is building amongst the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern ahead of their side’s game with Chelsea later today. They’re desperate for their side to secure the three points, especially after they struggled against Sevilla earlier this week. For that to happen, though, they recognise that every single player needs to be on form, and our landlord thinks that Daniel Sturridge could be the difference maker for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

The Englishman is far away from a surefire starter. In fact, he is more than likely to start the game on the bench. However, that could be Klopp’s first major mistake. Roberto Firmino has had a good season so far, but he isn’t the natural goalscorer that so many Liverpool fans crave. In fact, that natural goalscorer will be sat on the bench in the form of Sturridge. The Englishman proved earlier in his career, notably alongside Luis Suarez, that if he is on form, there is simply nobody in the Premier League that is better than him.

Offering electric pace, technical brilliance and uncanny ability to know exactly where the net is, if Sturridge is fed with the ball – as he will be when surrounded by the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane – then he will undoubtedly score.

He’s also got a big point to prove, given the fact that Chelsea let him move to Liverpool all those years ago. He’ll be desperate to get on the score sheet, not only to prove Jurgen Klopp wrong for not playing him often enough, but also to prove to Chelsea that they made a huge mistake in letting him go.
