Leeds are flying in the Championship and sit top of the table at the moment despite a slight blip in form which has seen them lose three of their last four league games.

The Whites are looking well overall though, and manager Marcelo Bielsa will be confident he can get his team back to winning ways in the coming weekends to get them firmly back on track.

The summer will be a big one at Elland Road regardless of if promotion is won or not, and we here in the Tavern feel the club should be planning for both life in the Championship and life in the top flight.

That's why we think they need to have their eye on a few summer signings, and one man we feel could be right for the club if Man United man, Phil Jones.

Former Blackburn man Jones has never quite looked like being the main man at United, and he looks like being one of the players who could be sacrificed if United decide to have a bit of a clearout come the summer months.

Jones though is Premier League quality and could do a job in the top flight at the right club, and being out of contract in the summer, it makes him the ideal sort of signing for a club like Leeds if they are promoted.

The big defender is all blood and thunder in his playing style, and he might well relish the chance of playing at Elland Road as the club battle to stay in the top flight, if of course, they are promoted.

Leeds fans, what do you think? Man U fans, would you allow Jones to leave? Let us know in the comments!
