This Manchester United defender’s career was saved after showdown talks with Van Gaal

RojoSome very interesting reports for Manchester United fans here in the boozy Transfer Tavern this afternoon, regarding one of their star defenders and key men in this season’s title push, Marcos Rojo.

The Daily Star are today reporting that the South American centre-back recently rescued his career at the Old Trafford outfit, by having crunch talks with his ruthless manager, Dutchman Louis Van Gaal.

It is thought that the Argentine who cost the Manchester club £16 million, angered his manager after having to sit out their pre season tour following an issue with his passport, this then lead to the player very nearly going to Monaco in a deal that would have seen Martial come to United for a lesser fee.

However, with United willing to pay the full amount for Martial and Rojo keen to stay this never materialised, and he is now thought to be working hard on his fitness and delighted to still be at the Theatre of Dreams.

Our resident Red Devils fans enjoying a pint over on table 45 of the Transfer Tavern are glad that Rojo has stayed, with them all adamant that he will find his feet at Old Trafford!
