This pacey Premier League striker could give Leeds a whole new dimension going forward

As Leeds look to bounce back from their disappointing end to last season, all eyes will be on new manager Thomas Christiansen and the new signings he has made this summer as part of another rebuild.

The Elland Road club are still reeling from an end of season collapse last time out, a collapse which saw them fall out of the playoff places and come up short under then manager Garry Monk.

Since then, the Leeds fans here in the Tavern have been scratching their heads over what went wrong, but remain optimistic going into this coming campaign that they can go one better.

Our landlord though thinks a few more additions could be needed, especially up top, and one player he thinks could turn them into promotion contenders is current Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe.

The pacey front man is one of six strikers at the Cherries, and his chances this year could be limited given the options at Eddie Howe’s disposal, not to mention the addition of goal machine Jermaine Defoe.

This could mean that Afobe could look to force a move away from the Premier League club, and a move to Leeds could be the ideal sort of transfer for the former Wolves man.

The thought of a partnership with Chris Wood is mouth watering for Leeds fans, and Afobe’s ability to score goals, move defences about with his movement, and his raw pace, could be the perfect addition for Leeds as they look to win promotion.

Leeds fans, what do you think? Would this be a good signing? Let us know in the comments!
