This scathing interview sums Tottenham up perfectly

The Spurs fans in the Transfer Tavern are sadly sipping their drinks tonight, they don’t seem up for it following Danny Rose’s interview.

In the last few days, Danny Rose has single handedly started a revolution at Tottenham over the lack of signings and low wages for star players.

The scathing interview Rose gave has become national news in the past few days and has attracted the attention of some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.

At the end of the day, whether it was professional or not to go in on his employers like that, the England left-back has hit the nail on the head in terms of the problems at Tottenham.

Let’s start this off by saying, footballers are paid a ridiculous amount of money but that’s not their fault.

Football is a sport with a lot of money in it and like any job, if you feel like you’re getting a bad deal then you won’t be happy about it.

Let’s take Rose as an example.

His current contract has him on £65,000 a week.

Compare that to his former teammate, Kyle Walker who now earns £130,000 a week at Manchester City and arguably has a better shot of adding to his trophy cabinet in the process.

Daniel Levy seems to have a real problem with paying players the money required to keep them at the club and if this goes on for much longer then all their star players will leave.

It says a lot when you attack your club in an interview and get a hero’s welcome the next day in training by your teammates.

If this attitude by Levy and Tottenham keeps up then there is no chance they will be winning the league title any time soon.
