The Manchester United and Leeds United fans are getting on for a change in the Transfer Tavern tonight following a loan move between the two clubs.
Reports from Sky Sports have confirmed that Leeds United have secured a season-long loan deal for Manchester United defender, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.
This deal is following injury worries at the back for the Yorkshire club.
Due to these injuries, it is likely that Borthwick-Jackson will get some consistent first-team football for the first time in his career.
The 20-year-old spent some time on loan at Wolves last season but failed to work his way into the side following the appointment of Paul Lambert.
His loan deal was cut short as a result of this.
A product of the famed Manchester United academy, Borthwick-Jackson has clearly got something about him that could turn him into a top-quality defender.
This loan move should provide him with the minutes required to tap into that potential and start growing him into the level of player who could be useful for United.
He has already been thrown into the side after making his debut in the League Cup against Port Vale in a 4-1 win.
This season could really make or break the young centre-back in terms of his Man United career.
It’s common knowledge that Mourinho isn’t massively trusting of the youngsters within his squad so it’ll take something special for him to take notice.
