The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been responding to the news that their 18-year-old Welshman, Ben Woodburn, won’t be involved in the club’s Premier League fixture against Watford this weekend. The club tweeted a link to the Liverpool website with the latest injury update. Woodburn is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League this season having registered four goals and four assists in 16 appearances for Liverpool’s U19s and reserve sides.

The Reds propping our bar up have had the joy of watching Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah rip defences to pieces this season. The incredible form of the club’s three-pronged forward line has helped the club as they sit 4th in the Premier League and face a mouth-watering Champions League quarter-final tie against Manchester City next month. The form of the Kopites’ front three has led to a number of other names being left out of the squad, specifically 18-year-old livewire, Ben Woodburn.
Woodburn played earlier in the week as Liverpool’s U19s were knocked out of the UEFA Youth League on penalties by Manchester City and has been handed a call-up to Ryan Giggs’ first Wales team ahead of the China Cup next week. However, Klopp has said the youngster won’t be apart of the squad as Liverpool welcome Watford to Anfield in tomorrow’s late kick-off. Klopp’s comments surrounding Woodburn have prompted Liverpool fans to respond, questioning the need to explain Woodburn’s absence given that he never seems to get a chance anyway.

lol.. since when he plays with us this season ?
It's not like the kid ever gets a chance anyways.

This sucks he deserves a chance also unlike people such as #Alexander Arnold …I believe Ben Woodburn can have much affect to put us back in the top 3 even further into second place.
