Chelsea aren’t really known for giving their youth academy players a chance in recent years, often opting to send them out on loan to gain experience. Despite the very small number of successful players coming through the loan system, many will want to emulate the former club captain John Terry’s rise from youth to Chelsea legend, who set the perfect blueprint.
Sometimes, the loan system works for the Blues but many a time the loanees are shipped out to clubs in the Championship and below in order to earn a start in their career. However, our landlord thinks he’s spotted two players that have gone out the Stamford Bridge door at a young age and will return better players with the ultimate goal of breaking into the first team this year and really making a name for themselves.
