Bournemouth will be hoping to build on a good season last time out under new manager Eddie Howe, and the Cherries have already been making moves in the transfer market this summer.
The busy summer and past transfer history suggests Howe is not averse to venturing into the Championship market, and the Cherries fans here in the Tavern are quite optimistic going into the new season that they can push for a top ten finish.
Our landlord agrees, but thinks a few more summer signings could give them a real boost and chance of securing a top half spot.
One player who has sprung into conversation this week over by the pool table is Leeds United youngster Ronaldo Vieira, who was superb for the Whites last season under Garry Monk.
The 18-year-old midfielder plays with a style way beyond his years, bringing a confidence through in his teammates with his fearless approach to the game. Vieira looks set to be a player who goes all the way to the top of the game, and his value will only increase year on year if he continues at his current rate of development.
A class act on the ball, and willing to put a shift in too, he really is a manager’s dream, and could well be a star for Bournemouth in the middle of the park for years to come if given the chance to shine in the Premier League.
Bournemouth will no doubt keep adding to their ranks over the summer, and Vieira looks like he could be the ideal sort of the signing at the Vitality Stadium.
Cherries fans, what do you think to this? Good signing? Let us know!
