Chelsea struggled to a 0-0 draw this weekend, held at home by a resolute Leicester City side who would not be broken down despite the Blues’ efforts.
The Premier League champions will be hoping to get back to winning ways over the next few weeks, and having already had a good start to the January transfer window by capturing Ross Barkley, manager Antonio Conte will be hoping for a few more additions in this and the next window.
Our landlord here at the Tavern remains unconvinced by a few players in the Chelsea squad, and one position he thinks could still do with adding too is down the right, in the wing back role which is usually occupied by Victor Moses.
With Davide Zappacosta failing to dislodge Moses on a regular basis, our landlord thinks Chelsea should go all out and try and convince Real Madrid to part company with Dani Carvalhal.
The Spaniard is often overlooked by many in what is a team of superstars in Madrid, but there is little doubting his brilliance down the right, and he’s a player who would fit Chelsea’s system perfeclty.
Blessed with bags of pace and a player who has a lot of fight in him, Carvalhal is someone who we think is suited perfectly to the English game, and could well have a massive impact on the Chelsea squad if he is signed over the next six months.
Chelsea fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
