This Week’s New Hammers Manager

It is looking like when, rather than if, Gianfranco Zola will depart. The no-nonsense Slaven Bilic is the favourite to take over and he is what that club needs.

Bilic has stated that he does like West Ham very much, and of course was an ex-player there. Remember this guy is pretty good- in case you’ve forgotten he is the one that dumped England out of Euro 2008 and did so with a little jig in the away dugout, whilst it was pouring with rain at Wembley, and that Wally with the Brolly was in charge…anyway.

Bilic has been linked with The Hammers before, and if those owners sorted themselves out then the Croatian is worth going for.

Been to the Boleyn Ground recently? The last two results for West Ham were shocking considering their position. Two home defeats to Wolves and Stoke, and having slid down that league table over the last month no wonder Zola is effectively considering his position.

They say that drowning your sorrows is the best way to get over depressing or troubled times. Maybe West Ham go down…they hire Bilic…he goes to the main pub on Green Street…and gets involved in a good old East-End knees-up with the locals. What a way to get yourself acquainted with the fans.

Better than Christian Gross showing the national media a tube ticket at his first press conference as Tottenham manager.
