This West Ham forward could be set to follow Dimitri Payet to Marseille

The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern have bemoaned last seasons’s summer business.

This, alongside the move to the London Stadium, have held West Ham United back this season, claim the fans here in the Transfer Tavern.

None of their summer signings have set the world alight but Andre Ayew has arguably been the pick of the bunch.

The Ghanaian international has hit a few important goals for the Hammers after recovering from a long-term injury which he sustained just minutes into his West Ham debut.

And according to his father, as reported by French media outlet Le Parisien, Andre Ayew would be open to a return to Olympique Marseille.

Ayew left Marseille in summer 2015 to join Swansea City then switched and moved to West Ham the following summer.

The 27-year-old still adores the club, according to his father, and would consider a move back to the Ligue 1 side in the future if the opportunity arose.

If Ayew did move to Marseille, he would follow his former West Ham team mate Dimitri Payet, who rejoined the French outfit in January after becoming unsettled in England.

It is unclear whether West Ham would sanction Ayew’s sale considering his injury problems at the start of the season.
