Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern can’t seem to agree on opinions regarding their substitute-striker, Danny Ings. Incredibly, this season marks Ings’ third at Anfield but after rupturing his cruciate ligament and missing over 80 games for the Reds, it’s easy to see why some fans have forgotten about the ex-Burnley man.
Ings’ night lasted just under half an hour as he came off the bench to replace the in-form Roberto Firmino in the Merseyside club’s dead-rubber second leg match against Porto in the Champions League. After Klopp masterminded a 5-0 thrashing of the 2004 champions at the Estadio do Dragao, the second leg at Anfield gave the German the chance to rest a few of his big guns and provide minutes for those coming back from injury and on the fringe.
This was exactly the case for Ings, as the Kopites keeping our bar afloat were delighted to see him back out and playing again. However, his level of performance for some wasn’t quite up to the lofty standards set by their front three.

We would have won had he started

That’s a bizarre statement has Inggs ever scored a goal . Lallana was poor and lovren/Matip/karius doesn’t work.

Thought he look really sharp considering game time ..

Solanke – not good enough
Sturridge – retired in 2 years max
Ings – deserves a chance after a horrific injury, greater rate and movement

Yet to prove he's a better option than Origi, really should have done better with that header.

Solanke has got more in his locker in my opinion. Doesn’t really get his chance
