Manchester City should have made the most of their dominance at Anfield prior to the international break, but Riyah Mahrez couldn’t slot his penalty away.
The Citizens will feel confident that they can secure a second consecutive Premier League trophy after the start they’ve made, with only Liverpool and Chelsea managing to keep up. Although, one of City’s first team youngsters is attracting interest, as according to the Mirror, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig are interested in signing Phil Foden.
Borussia Dortmund are out to lure Foden away from Manchester City, with Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig also taking an interest in the 18-year-old.
Of course, after witnessing Jadon Sancho’s rise to stardom in Germany, perhaps Foden would be open to a move in an attempt to nail down a place in the England squad.
Foden has been at Manchester City since the age of six and would still be expected to sign a new contract with the club, with his current deal running out in 2020.
City are due to hold talks with the playmaker but the significant interest from abroad has left him with a decision to make regarding his future.
There’s no doubt that Phil Foden is one of the most promising players in the whole of world football, with him already enjoying appearances in the first team at Manchester City.
Although, with the three European clubs all registering an interest in the youngster, perhaps he’ll look to move out on loan to enjoy regular minutes with an England call-up fresh on his mind.
So, Manchester City will be hoping that they can secure an agreement, with the Premier League champions planning to hold talks with the youngster.
