Three world class names on Manchester United’s transfer wishlist

Otherwise Manchester United might!

Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are buzzing over the imminent arrival of Louis van Gaal especially since The Express reported that the Dutch coach is planning to bring three world class signings with him.

The publication claim van Gaal has set his sights on Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria, and Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels – and remains confident of securing all three.

van Gaal is set to be unveiled as United boss on Thursday, having guided the Dutch to third place at the 2014 World Cup.

The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona coach has refused a holiday, as he wants to crack on with Manchester United’s summer transfer plans.

Talks are at an advanced stage for 27-year-old midfielder Vidal, who is set to cost the club around £40 million.

Angel Di Maria is available for the same price, although reports today suggest he is holding out for a club capable of offering Champions League football.

Meanwhile, van Gaal is confident he can land German World Cup star Mats Hummels for £25 million from Dortmund.

A £200 million transfer warchest is likely to be funded by the sales of Ashley Young, Maraoune Fellaini, Wilfried Zaha and Nani.
