Arsenal continue to have what is an up and down season this term, and will be hoping to come back fresh off the international break and put together a strong finish to the season.
The Gunners face another summer wait to see if manager Arsene Wenger remains in the managerial hot-seat, while the Arsenal fans will once again be hoping the club goes out and spends some big money on some new faces to add to an already talented squad.
January saw the club do that, and our landlord here at the Tavern is hopeful for his punters that the club will once again be backed in the market and be able to attract some top talent. However, he’s also conscious that the club could well need to move a few players on before adding new faces.
One such player who faces an uncertain future is England striker Danny Welbeck, who has returned from injury in decent form but remains some way off being the first choice striker with the club.
However, Welbeck possesses plenty of quality, and can be counted on to bag the goals in the big games, as his time with Man United, the Gunners, and at times with England, have proved.
Welbeck is blessed with pace and a nifty knack of being able to finish chances off when they are presented to him. If the Gunners do decide they want to cash in, then Welbeck could well be of interest to plenty of clubs, and it could well be just the boost the former Sunderland loanee needs to keep his career on track.
Gunners fans, what do you think to this? Good move to shift Welbeck on? Let us know in the comments!
