Liverpool will be hoping to finish their season with a flourish ahead of their return to Premier League action this weekend, as manager Jurgen Klopp aims to seal a top four spot once more and progress into the final four of the Champions League.
Premier League leaders Manchester City stand in Klopp’s and the Reds’ way of getting to that final four spot, but the German will no doubt already have one eye on the summer when he will be hoping to add some more new players to his squad.
However, it’s not just players coming in what will be on the agenda of the German come the end of the season, and Klopp would be foolish to think that he can go ahead with his plans and not see any of his players move along.
Here in the Tavern, our landlord has long been a fan of Red striker Danny Ings, but he feels that this summer could be time for the Englishman to move on following an injury ravaged time at Anfield so far.
Ings, who has bags of pace and was firing on all cylinders for Burnley before his move to Merseyside, will no doubt be keen to get some regular football under his belt and once again prove himself, something he is unlikely to be affored the chance to do for Liverpool.
There is plenty of clubs up and down the land in both the Premier League and the Championship who would love to take a punt on Ings, and there is little doubt that if fit, he can get in and amongst the goals once more.
Liverpool fans, what do you think? Should Ings be moved on? Let us know in the comments!
