Manchester City have absolutely romped to Premier League glory this season, and barring a catastrophic end to the campaign, will wrap up their third Premier League title in due course.
The Citizens have been superb throughout the season and have played some of the best football the Premier League has seen for a while, with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, and Leroy Sane all playing key roles, amongst others.
Here in the Tavern, our punters and landlord have loved watching the Blue half of Manchester strut their stuff, but among them, there is a belief that one of two of their squad might benefit from moving on and playing their football elsewhere.
One such player who falls into this category is defender John Stones, who was a £50m capture just a few seasons back.
However, Stones has at times struggled to produce his best form, and still looks shaky when he comes up against top opposition. With Vincent Kompany, Nicolas Otamendi, and new signing Aymeric Laporte all in the mix for a starting berth, Stones might well fancy making a move away from the Etihad this summer.
Stones is a top talent still, and could be a key asset for a lot of clubs in the top flight, as well as in Europe, with his game arguably best suited to that of a La Liga or Bundesliga team.
Guardiola will not want anyone in his squad who is not 100% behind his plans, and with Stones already making murmurings about being unhappy with his game time of late, the former Everton man could well move on come the summer window.
City fans, what do you think? Should Stones move on? Let us know in the comments!
