Manchester United will be hoping for a closer challenge next season as they go on the hunt for the Premier League title, with neighbours City romping to success this term under Pep Guardiola.
The Red Devils have spent handsomely over the last few transfer windows, but still appear to be some way off City, and our landlord here in the Tavern thinks that the club could well look to go again this summer, and splash even more cash in the hope of closing the gap.
Before any money is spent though, the Old Trafford club could well be looking to move a few players on, and our punters think that Luke Shaw could be one of the first to be shown the exit door by Jose Mourinho.
However, a move could be the best thing for Shaw, who appears out of favour with his manager once again after being singled out for criticism during his last showing.
Shaw though is still a capable performer, and is someone who could well still go on to have a tremendous Premier League career given the chance. His speed down the left hand side, his attacking play, and ability to defend in one on one situations make him an excellent young left back.
There will be plenty of clubs looking to snap up Shaw in the summer, and it might well turn out to be the best thing what’s happened to the young left back as he looks to get his career back on track.
United fans, what do you think? Have you seen the end of Shaw? Let us know in the comments!
