Time for a change: The Spurs man who desperately needs to move on this summer

Spurs are once again in with a fighting chance of obtaining a top four spot in the Premier League this term as their young manager Mauricio Pochettino once again has them playing some excellent stuff.

The Londoners, led by talisman Harry Kane, have been excellent in the main over the course of a few seasons now, and despite no silverware, our punters and our landlord here in the Tavern think that the club is not too far off having some serious success.

This summer promises to once again be a big one for the club, and they will no doubt need to go adding some more quality if they are to maintain their charge. However, there is also the problem of players in the squad who either might not be up to the task, or simply need a move for their own sake.

One player who our landlord thinks falls into that category is Argetinian midfielder Erik Lamela, who despite returning from injury of late, is still not an automatic starter for the club.

With Lamela, it is probably not a case of the club wanting rid, but more maybe a case of the player himself looking to move on and challenge himself, while trying to establish himself as the main man at a club.

He certainly has the ability to do so, and if needed, could well develop at another club into a top player who could be a real leader amongst his teammates. His return from injury could well spark a transfer scramble if teams got wind he did want to move, and it would be nice to see Lamela in a team consistently so the punters could see exactly what he is made of.

Spurs fans, what do you think? Should Lamela move on? Let us know in the comments!
