The resident Gunners in the Transfer Tavern are growing increasingly concerned by their club’s lack of transfer activity so far this month.
The Arsenal supporters will be the first to tell you how frustrating the January window can be for them, as their transfer wishes are very rarely met. To further compound the misery for the fans, Wenger has previously spoken to the press in the aftermath of various windows and claimed that he came very close to signing a particular player, but his near misses do nothing to improve the Arsenal squad.
The immediate concern for the Arsenal fans right now relates to the futures of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
On the whole, the supporters are unanimous in accepting Sanchez will inevitably depart the club this month, but they still retain hope that Ozil will extend his contract at The Emirates Stadium.
Considering that Sanchez looks set to leave Arsenal for Manchester City this month, Wenger should be in the market for a replacement as soon as possible, and according to reports in The Daily Mirror, he has already identified Boca Juniors star Cristian Pavon as the player to succeed Sanchez.
A handful of the Arsenal fans are concerned about Pavon’s ability to adapt to the demands of the Premier League, but aside from that, the vast majority of supporters are demanding the club to announce his signature as soon as possible.
Here’s what The Gunners had to say about their club’s links with Pavon…
Arsenal are expected to pay Boca Juniors’ Cristian Pavon release clause of $37m according to reports in Argentina as Alexis replacement.

He's better than sanchez, more direct and will be very deadly in prem soon

I like Cristian Pavón and he is the right profile for Arsenal to be targeting, but I'm always weary of bringing South American talent straight to England.
Gabriel Jesus was different because you could tell he was class, but Lozano, Neres and Malcom have done it the right way.

Arsenal will reportedly sell Alexis and sign Cristian Pavon as his replacement. I don't know much about him but based on a YouTube compilation that I just watched, he is clearly better than a prime Cristiano.
