Time to go: Klopp needs to ensure he moves this Liverpool player on this summer

Liverpool are on fire at the moment and are heading into the weekend off the back of a 5-0 demolition job of Port in the UEFA Champions League.

The Reds have been playing some stunning attacking football this term and manager Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to secure a top four finish once again to secure the big European nights remain a fixture at Anfield next term.

Here in the Tavern, our landlord has been a big fan of the Reds this year, and he’s also been impressed with some of their signings, not least Mo Salah, who has been simply brilliant since signing in the summer.

However, he also feels one or two Liverpool players are hanging onto their Anfield careers by a thread, and he reckons it’s time a few of them were let go this summer, including goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, who seems to have finally been ousted as number one by Loris Karius.

Mignolet can have little in the way of complaints if Klopp decides to move him on, with the Belgian making countless mistakes during his time on Merseyside, despite being given chance after chance by the management team to impress.

The Belgian is still a capable performer in the top flight, however the pressure of playing for a top four club could be what is undoing him, and it would be little surprise to see him moved on in the summer.

Liverpool fans, what do you think? Good decision to move Mignolet on? Let us know in the comments!
