The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern weren’t very happy with any of the players that featured in their side’s loss against West Ham.
Despite leading the fixture for much of its duration, the Blues fell to a goal from the Hammers in the last quarter of the game – and it was that man Javier Hernandez once again. He has a pretty remarkable record against the Blues, and in truth, Antonio Conte’s men really lacked a player with his sort of efficiency.
Chelsea, to be fair, lacked a lot of things on the day, with misfiring defenders and attackers causing problems. The midfield was, arguably, even worse, with Cesc Fabregas – in particular – looking very poor.
The Spaniard has been a constant in the Chelsea first team for much of the season, but over the last few weeks and months, his game has gradually been getting more and more inconsistent.
It makes you wonder, then, why Fabregas, who is rated at £31.5 million by Transfer Markt, continues to be picked by Antonio Conte.
Of course, it likely comes down to his position in the squad. He’s a core first team player, and a lack of other options gives the Italian manager little choice.
However, fans, it seems, want that to change. Chelsea recently revealed on their official Twitter page that Fabregas has now made 100 Premier League starts for the club as a result of his start against the Hammers.

In response, fans have been quick to pour cold water on the milestone, with many noting that he simply hasn’t been good enough. Some are even, in jest, questioning whether he was even on the field over the weekend, given the minimal impact he made.
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
He has become too lazy nowadays. its time to let him go

Did he? I didn’t see him

Great player over the last 3 years, he's past it though. Hasn't got the legs/mobility in the centre of the park anymore and is a passenger too often. With the wages he's on we have to sell him, bring in one of Milinkovic-Savic/Jorginho/Fred to replace him

Most of them he was a liability
