‘Time to reunite’ – Man United fans on Twitter react as club deliver update

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo are both fit to face Swansea tomorrow. Ashley Young could also feature despite picking up a slight knock whilst playing with England. The news means that Mourinho won’t have to resort to playing Chris Smalling in defence, to the delight of the fans.

The Manchester United fans propping our bar up have come in for criticism as the comedy centre-back pairing of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling has had to feature a number of times this season. The two have been slated on a number of occasions for falling asleep in games and making individual errors in the absence of Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo.

United currently have the second-best defensive record in the league, conceding only 23 goals. Whilst this has been largely down to the heroics of David De Gea and the rigid defensive set up of Jose Mourinho, the back four does have a big part to play. For our resident Red Devils, the most secure partnership at the heart of their defence is Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo and the news that Rojo is fit for Swansea at Old Trafford tomorrow is brilliant for the fans.
