Leeds United failed to secure all three points against Nottingham Forest on Saturday as they could only managed to hold on for a draw at Elland Road.
The Whites need to enjoy a run of positive results if they are to secure an automatic promotion place in the current campaign, with plenty of other teams picking up points around them. Interestingly, it appears as if one of the club’s first team members is attracting interest, as according to a report from the Sun on Sunday (28/10; page 59) (via HITC), Everton and Bournemouth are keen on Tom Pearce.
Pearce has been one of the players who has struggled to break into Marcelo Bielsa’s plans so far this season, with a substitute appearance against Forest yesterday.
Indeed, the youngster only signed a new contract at Elland Road in the summer, so the Whites will be desperate to hold onto the talented defender.
Worryingly, it’s believed that Everton and Bournemouth are monitoring the Englishman’s situation.
Tom Pearce hasn’t been able to enjoy regular minutes in the current campaign under Marcelo Bielsa, with Barry Douglas and Stuart Dallas getting the nod down the left-hand side.
So, the youngster may take up the opportunity to move to the Premier League in an attempt to really kick-start his footballing career, as just rewards for his efforts in the white shirt.
