There is so much young talent out there right now, it is just ridiculous. And we just LOVE IT here on The Transfer Tavern.Here is my list of those who I believe are the top 10 best youngsters in the world right now under the age of 22. What are your suggestions?
Number 10- Mario Goetze Sir Alex Ferguson was believed to be interested in the German playmaker as far back as January, and he sees him as the final piece of the jigsaw needed to compliment an already strong United midfield.
Number 9- Christian Eriksen Both Chelsea and table-toppers Manchester City are keeping tabs on Danish sensation Christian Eriksen . The 19-year-old is regarded as one of Europe’s brightest prospects and has recently been receiving the plaudits. The talented young attacking midfielder is being targeted by Europe’s elite clubs and a £30 million offer could seal the deal.
Number 8- Mario Balotelli Mario Balotelli is undoubtedly a ‘complicated’ character. But what is becoming painfully clear to see is the fact he is very good at playing football.
Number 7- Thomas Muller Sunderland, Tottenham and Manchester City were all linked with this Bayern beast. Needless to say, he never made the move.
Number 6- Javier Pastore Manchester City as well as Paris St Germain have led the charge so far for this incredible player.
Number 5- Jack Wilshere England have been crying for years to find a player who has the vision and ability to pass a ball like Xavi or Iniesta, and in Jack Wilshire they have found there answer. The England prodigy received all the plaudits last season from pundits, fans and fellow professionals and now the 19-year-old has vowed to stay a Gunner for life.
Number 4- Eden Hazard The Belgian starlet is highly regarded as a bright prospect, and at only 20 he is the one that everybody is talking about. According to ‘The Sun’ the Lille midfielder has alerted Europe’s elite clubs by claiming that he will be leaving Lille at the end of the season. He is an exceptional talent and has been scouted by the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Number 3- Thiago Alcântara were preparing to offer Spanish starlet plus a hefty transfer fee in a bid to land Cesc Fabregas from the Gunners over the summer. The Catalonian giants were desperate to land Fabregas but they didn’t have to in the end.
Number 2- Neymar Neymar had rejected the chance to play at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2010 and his performances and style of play for Santos has formed comparisons to football legends Pele and Maradona.
Number 1- Gareth Bale In and out of form it has to be said, but equally so are the rumours that such global football luminaries as Barcelona, Real Madrid and now Chelsea of course.
