Another season of disappointment is soon to end at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal supporters entered the campaign in fine spirits after some impressive transfer captures. However it hasn’t worked out for the Gunners; a season of failure in all competitions which will probably be billed as complete misery if Champions League qualification isn’t secured next Sunday.
After the season comes to a close and the nets are taken down Arsenal can look back at the current season and at least take the lessons that have been learnt. Some of these will be encouraging aspects while others will be negative and there is a strong sense that things need improving for next year. It is vital for Arsene Wenger’s future that he learns for this year’s failure to bring success back to the Emirates Stadium.
After eight long years the Emirates trophy cabinet is looking rather bare unless you somehow count Champions League qualification like Wenger.
