Huddersfield Town all but sealed their place in the Premier League for next term with an excellent 1-0 win over Watford yesterday, a result which gave them a healthy eight point cushion on the bottom three.
The Terriers really have been a breath of fresh air this term and despite taking a few hammerings, they have had their moments and fully deserve another crack at the top flight.
Our landlord has been massively impressed, and he has loved welcoming the Huddersfield fans into the Tavern this season on a regular basis. However, he knows next season more new faces will need to be added, and he thinks the club should look into the Championship again.
Our landlord and punters agree that the club need to looking into the Sky Bet Championship for talent, and one man they think deserves another shot at the top flight is current Derby County forward Matej Vydra.
The pacey forward has really found his feet this season after sealing a big money move last year to Pride Park, and has smashed in almost 20 goals for Gary Rowett’s men this term, something which should not be underestimated given how poor the Rams have been since Xmas.
With goals always needed to ensure survival and the dreaded second season syndrome likely to be brought into play, Terriers manager Wagner will want someone who can bring goals to the table and is proven in England, and Vydra is just that.
Huddersfield fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
