Top-class manager ready for a break to land Man United job

Pep GuardiolaManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are dancing on the tables this afternoon, after hearing a world-class manager is ready to take a huge leap of faith in order to land the Manchester United job.

The Sun states Pep Guardiola will walk away from Bayern Munich at the end of the season and will then take a year-long break from football to replace Louis Van Gaal in 2017.

Catalan boss Guardiola has been heavily linked with United previously but it’s stated the Red Devils will not part ways with Van Gaal next summer, which would ensure an immediate position is available for Guardiola.

Whilst many believed that could prove detrimental to United’s chances of landing the highly-renowned boss, it appears Guardiola wants his role in the Premier League to be at Old Trafford.

Guardiola previously took a year out after leaving Barcelona before arriving in Munich and would be prepared to do similar in order to take charge of Manchester United, with the aim of making them a dominant force in European football once more.

United fans, is Guardiola the perfect manager for you in the future? Let us know in the comments below!
