Top five potential managerial successors to Arsene Wenger

wenger.jpgA nightmare week or so for Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger has cast doubt over his future at the Emirates Stadium.

The North London club were knocked out of the FA Cup at home by Championship mid-table side Blackburn Rovers on Saturday before losing 3-1 at home to Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie on Tuesday evening.

Eight years without a trophy is simply not acceptable for a club as big as Arsenal so it is surely time to move Wenger on?

No doubt the Frenchman will go down as one of Arsenal’s greatest ever managers, but can you really keep the boss on just because of sentiment?

Fans often moan that Wenger doesn’t spend the money that he has on offer but Arsenal spent more than £35 million on the likes of Santi Cazorla, Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski in the summer.

However the constant loss of key players is evident and in recent years the likes of Robin van Persie, Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas have all jumped ship and gone on to be extremely successful at their new clubs.

We have established that it is time for Wenger to go, but who can realistically turn things around at the Emirates?
