It has been a positive season for David Moyes and Everton and but yet again it could see them miss out on the Champions League and maybe European football altogether.
The Toffees have consistently featured in the top six or seven of the Premier League since August and stars such as Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines have been up there with the best in the country over the past eight months or so.
A slight dip in form after the New Year saw the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea build a gap between themselves and Everton but a crucial win at home to Reading on Saturday could be the kick-start that was needed and they are now seven points adrift of fourth placed Chelsea.
The Merseyside club are still going strong in the FA Cup and have a crucial quarter-final clash with Wigan Athletic at the weekend giving them the chance to book a place at Wembley.
A romantic FA Cup triumph would be a great achievement for Moyes and the team but the supporters surely wouldn’t mind competing with the best teams in Europe next season on the highest stage also.
