Claret and blue are not the easiest of colours to combine at the best of times but over the years West Ham United have got it seriously wrong a number of times.
Back in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s the Hammers kept it simple and only changed or redesigned kits every few years but nowadays in modern football a kit is changed or updated every single season which helps a club make money from sales each year.
Now back in the Premier League the East London club have gone back to basics with this season’s kits proving a hit with supporters but before the current owners were in charge, that was not the case at all.
The likes of Bobby Moore, Martin Peters and Geoff Hurst have donned the famous claret and blue over the years and at some stages the kits have been iconic and are still worn today. But some shirts are best left in the past and the Hammers fans would rather forget them.
The Irons have gone from crazy striped kits to ones that had patches to cover failed sponsors on but this next list is probably better off left in the past.
