So it was confirmed on Wednesday night after at their 3-3 away goal aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich that Arsenal would unfortunately extend their trophy drought to eight years, unless like Arsene Wenger you view reaching the Champions League as a trophy alone which of course is balderdash.
