This season has been fairly quiet for West Ham United supporters by the clubs standards. Sam Allardyce has guided the club to mid-table, which many fans will be enjoying as so many seasons have gone by with the threat of relegation and other off the field dramas.
The club have seemingly stabilised in the past year, with some clever signings bought in to make the club a competitive Premier League force again. This hasn’t always been the case however, as Hammers fans will tell you that for every Kevin Nolan there is a Benni McCarthy.
The so-called Academy of Football is still churning out gems to this day such as Matthias Fanimo, Leo Chambers and Elliot Lee who have appeared on the Hammers bench this term and it’s no wonder why West Ham have tended to throw their youngsters into the mix early doors – simply because there has been quite a few cases of quite simply rubbish scouting, hence the misfits being brought to East London.
