Metro carry a story that is keeping us all entertained here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that Tottenham could well send two of their utility players out on loan next season.
Norwich City have put in a bid for Kyle Naughton and also Jake Livermore and are looking to persuade both Andre Villas-Boas and the players themselves that a loan spell for the season would be a good idea.
Of course should the fringe players go out on loan to Carrow Road, they would be playing week in, week out and that is vital Premier League experience.
Last season Livermore managed to feature in 19 of the games Spurs played in all competitions and at 23-years-old is looking to break into the first team and be playing regular football.
Kyle Naughton who has been on loan with the Canaries before may have racked up more minutes of the pitch featuring 26 times but is still looking to improve and hone his craft, something that cannot happen whilst he is sat on the bench.
One thing that could persuade the players that a loan spell could be ideal would be the new arrivals this summer with AVB looking to get players in both midfield and also at full back meaning there would be even more competition for the young duo to contend with.
Would a loan spell for both Livermore and Naughton prove sensible? Let us know your thoughts below.
