Tottenham absolutely must strike now to land £6.75m-rated attacker for next season

Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are excited that the transfer window is officially open as they look to add some new faces to their squad ahead of their move to a new stadium.

Spurs secured a top-four finish in the Premier League with a dramatic 5-4 victory over Leicester in their final game at Wembley. They face a huge summer where owner Daniel Levy must choose whether to abandon the club’s current transfer philosophy and back Mauricio Pochettino in the market to turn the Lilywhites into genuine title contenders. If he doesn’t, he would surely risk losing his manager.

A new forward will be high on Pochettino’s wish list as he looks to lessen the burden on Harry Kane’s shoulders. The signing of Fernando Llorente failed and the Spaniard looks set to move on this summer. With that in mind, the perfect addition to their squad would be Ajax wonderkid – Justin Kluivert. The Dutch forward has been in magnificent form this season, scoring ten goals and notching five assists in the Eredivisie.

He is valued at £6.75m by Transfermarkt, and could be set to depart the club after growing frustrated with the board. The 19-year-old is unhappy with the club trying to sell him and has announced he will not sign a new deal. Spurs should be taking advantage of his situation and bring him to North London.

A pacey forward with an eye for goal, Kluivert is the perfect man to supplement Kane in the Tottenham attack.
