Tottenham ace to depart in 2015?

bale.jpgThere is little surprise here in the Football Transfer Tavern at the latest claims coming from the The Sun who are back to one of their favourite rumours – Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.

The publication have been talking up the chances of a move for the Welsh midfielder after claiming that Real Madrid are once again admiring the player and club legend Zinedine Zidane has been waxing lyrical about him, calling Bale the best player in Europe this season. Quite what Cristiano Ronaldo thinks about that remains to be seen but what is clear is that Bale is once again firmly on the Spanish side’s radar.

Zidane went on to further praise Bale by noting that he is not far off the level of Lionel Messi and Ronaldo and claimed: “He makes things look easy, his pace is frightening, his acceleration is unbelievable because of his ability to go through the gears in very little space.

“Plus, he’s very good technically which is also important. We mustn’t forget that he plays football very well!

“And he’s really impressed me. I’ve seen him two or three times live, including recently at Lyon, which wasn’t necessarily his best game.

“Every time he got the ball he can surprise you.”

Tottenham of course want to keep hold of the Welsh wizard as long as they possibly can and according to the Spanish press, a more likely scenario would be a bid in 2015 when the contract of Ronaldo is expired and the forward makes his rumoured move to wherever that may be. Only then will the Spanish side swoop for Bale – which of course gives him that one more year with Spurs and a campaign in the Champions League should all go well in the final stages of the current campaign.

Will Bale move this summer or in 2015? Let us know your thoughts below.
