Here in the Football Transfer Tavern we love a good tug of war for a player and Metro have claimed that one could be taking place over Tottenham’s Danny Rose.
The England Under-21 international is on loan at Sunderland and the Black Cats are considering making a permanent move for the player. T
This however is at odds with the decision of Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas who had plans to bring the player back to White Hart Lane next season and make him into the first choice full back.
The left back has seen his profile sky rocket this season and competing in regular first team football has done him the world of good. Rose is believed to prefer a move back to parent club Spurs but would be willing to move on order to get first team football and continue with his progress and enhanced reputation.
Of course now Sunderland have changed their manager and have Paolo Di Canio at the helm and the manager has been impressed with Rose.
The player himself is more focused on survival with Sunderland and claims that only then he will consider his own future.
Will Sunderland sign Rose permanently or will he be Spurs’ first choice left back next term? Let us know your thoughts below.
