Our London-based punters here at the Football Transfer Tavern are all dancing on the tables in glee as they express their joy at a truly wonderful soon to be signing at Crystal Palace!
While this one had been an ongoing rumour, BBC Sport can now report that Crystal Palace have agreed a £10 million pound fee with Paris Saint-Germain for France international midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
In what is arguably one of the most high profile signings the club has ever made, Cabaye will team up with his former manager at Newcastle United in Alan Pardew who has seemingly completed a wonderful bit of business for the South London club.
It was believed that West Ham United and Tottenham were also vying for Cabaye’s signature but it appears that the Eagles have won this race.
Cabaye will reinforce what is already a very solid midfield containing the likes of Mile Jedinak, James McArthur and Joe Ledley, and will arguably add that extra bit of flair that can hopefully push them further up the table.
