Football fans in the Football Transfer Tavern really are missing the Preier League with pre-season friendlies not really capturing the attentions of the punters.
So instead, fans are paying more attention to transfer rumours and according to The Guardian, Swansea City and Tottenham are arranging a swap deal that suits both parties.
Swansea City full back Ben Davies is set to undergo a medical ahead of a move that will see Tottenham midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson move in the opposite direction.
Both Spurs and Liverpool have registered an interest in the Welsh international left back in recent weeks but the North London club have jumped to the head of the queue by offering Sigurdsson to the club.
Sigurdsson has been made available for transfer this summer and it is thought that a move back to his old club is very attractive.
That means that Tottenham could soon have 21-year old defender Davies at the club having acted quickly since their bid was accepted earlier this week.
The Wales defender was expected to choose Champions League football at Anfield and a reunion with former Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers.
Both Swansea and Spurs are currently on pre-season tours in America, giving an advantage to Tottenham who have been able to speak to representatives across the pond.
