The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern were pretty happy with their side's January transfer window. The Lilywhites were, by all accounts, pretty quiet - but a deal on deadline day was enough to send our Tottenham-loving punters home happy.

Brazilian attacker Lucas Moura moved to Wembley from PSG, having struggled for game time in Paris this season, leaving most Tottenham fans feeling pretty happy. The South American has yet to test himself in the Premier League, but Brazilian players have often adjusted to life in the English top flight, so it likely won't be too difficult for him to get back to his best.

It also won't come as much of a surprise to hear that Tottenham are already looking at bringing in another Brazilian. According to Goal, Spurs are already considering January targets, and one player that is said to be attracting their interest is David Neres, who currently plays for Ajax.

An attacking midfielder by trade, Neres has been a regular in the Netherlands this season, having made 15 league starts. He's scored 8 goals and 9 assists along the way, and so it's no real surprise that his activity hasn't gone unnoticed.

He's rated at £13.5 million by Transfer Markt, and it's fair to say that, on current form, that would represent very good value for the often-frugal Tottenham.

A move isn't likely to come imminently, but Tottenham certainly seem to be making plans on working to that end.

Landlord's Verdict

He's not much of a known quantity in England, but Neres looks like a great player.

Significantly, he's also young - and nobody is better than Mauricio Pochettino at getting the best out of his young players.

It's looking likely to be an exciting spell for the Lilywhites.
