Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are more interested in which players will come through the Stamford Bridge doors rather than which ones will leave through them.
But the imminent arrival of Diego Costa means that strikers are inevitably going to be leaving the West London club and according to the Daily Star, Romelu Lukaku could be the first.
The Belgium international, who was on loan at Everton last season, has never scored for Chelsea and is yet being touted around for upwards of £20 million.
Lukaku was even offered to Atletico Madrid during negotiations for Diego Costa but the Spanish side declined Chelsea’s offer.
Now it’s being reported that Premier League duo Everton and Tottenham are the two most likely destinations for the 21-year-old but there is also said to be interest from Europe – including from La Liga giants Valencia.
The Stamford Bridge exit doors are also likely to be trodden by fellow strikers Samuel Eto’o, Demba Ba and Fernando Torres who all failed to impress last season.
Chelsea fans. Is it time to make a decision regarding Lukaku once and for all? Let us know your thoughts below.
