Here in the Football Transfer Tavern, we are always like to keep one eye on the major leagues around Europe with Ligue 1 high on our list of priorities.
One player that has really impressed us lately is 21-year-old Marseille attacking midfielder Florian Thauvin.
And London24 suggests that a host of Premier League are also taking an interest in the promising French winger.
Scouts from Chelsea and Tottenham were thought to watching the youngster during his club’s game against Bastia earlier in the month, and they are expected to be in attendance when Marseille take on Lorient at the Stade Vélodrome tomorrow.
Arsenal are also thought to interested in the French international with Arsene Wenger confirming that the Gunners were keeping tabs on Thauvin.
He said back in November: “We were following him and we were interested in him before he joined Lille,
“For me, he is one of the big prospects of French football.”
The starlet will hope to make the French national team for the upcoming World Cup, although that could increase his demand and asking price further.
Do you think that Thauvin would be a success in the Premier League? Let us know your thoughts below.
