Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have been given a glimmer of hope for one of their transfer targets after hearing reports suggesting that the initial collapsed bid may yet bet revived.
According to The Sun, Spurs will not give up on their pursuit for Fulham’s Moussa Dembele and intend on offering Josh Onomah in an attempt to persuade Fulham to complete the deadline day deal.
The 19-year-old had a medical at White Hart Lane on Saturday and a deal looked set to be completed before the deadline at 11pm, but the move was halted at Fulham’s demands.
The Championship side was happy with the offer, reportedly at the region of £4m but were insistent that Spurs would allow leading-goalscorer, Dembele, back on loan at Craven Cottage which is where negotiations broke down.
Now though, Spurs are looking to tempt Fulham back into completing the deal by offering one of their promising youngsters to take Dembele’s place.
After all the speculation and negotiation, it remains unclear whether these two sides will come to an agreement before the 11 o’clock deadline.
