Tottenham Hotspur have endured a thoroughly successful season, which could still see them land their first league title in over 50 years, and all the praise has to go down to Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino.
He’s a popular figure in the Transfer Tavern but, worryingly, it seems quite easy to snatch him from the Lilywhite’s clutches.
The Sun has revealed today that Mauricio Pochettino has a £10m release-clause in his current contract, which would be pennies to a top-side like Manchester United.
Spurs paid Southampton £2m to lure Pochettino to north London two seasons ago and any departure would see them land a massive profit- but it would not be enough to quell the disappointment of the South American leaving White Hart Lane.
There is cause for optimism though as Tottenham are confident Pochettino will pen a new deal imminently, which will no doubt raise, or completely remove, any release clause.
